Our Values
Youth Group
LWML has many facets - among them is the gathering of mites, patterned after the story of the widow’s mite in Mark chapter 12:
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury.  Many rich people threw in large amounts.  But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.  Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.  They all gave out of   their wealth, but she, out of her poverty, put in everything – all she had to live on” (Mark 12:41-43).

These mites are used for supporting missions around the world. Some of the current mission grants have gone to training K-9 comfort dogs, LCMS chaplains, and strengthening and expanding campus ministry, among many others. LWML also offers Bible studies and devotions for women - we use the Lutheran Women’s quarterly in our Mary/Esther circle.

The women of the LWML are:
praying for our pastors and missions workers
ready and willing to assist them as they work in their ministry area
available to answer any questions you may have about the LWML
able to provide ready-to-use Bible studies and devotions that have been through the LCMS doctrinal review process
prepared to share information with you regarding the missions supported by LWML, servant events, outreach activities and much more.
